Brief Bio
Rauno Pirinen is the founder of the Integrative Research, Education and Regional Development Model at Laurea University of Applied Sciences, Espoo, Finland. His current interest areas of postdoctoral research include: adoption and strategic use of information intensive services and systems, knowledge transferring and sharing in regional-national-global innovation systems, integration of higher education, research and regional development, emergent critical systems and services and theoretical foundations.

The KMIS 2017 special session (ISE): Information Sharing Environments to foster cross-sectorial and cross-border collaboration between public authorities aims the dissemination of the European Union’s information sharing initiatives like the Common Information Sharing Environment (CISE) and collaborative RDI projects such as CoopP, PERSEUS, EUCISE2020, #WINLandFI and MARISA.
